Division using the bus stop method
Revision of formal multiplication (TO x O)
Mixed operation problem solving and reasoning activities, consolidating and extending understanding of the year 4 number objectives.
Multi step worded problems
Geometry:
Properties of Shapes – 2D and 3D shapes. Understanding faces, vertices and nets of 3D shapes.
Angles – acute and obtuse angles, right angles.

‘The Spiderwick Chronicles’ – Descriptive writing, explanation writing, suspense writing.

Science

Electricity – children will construct a simple series electrical circuit, identifying and naming its basic parts, including cells, wires, bulbs, switches and buzzers.
Children will recognise some common conductors and insulators, and associate metals with being good conductors
